Erasmus+ VET: Deansrath College

In 2025, Deansrath Community College was recognized for their commitment to inclusivity with a European Innovation in Teaching award. Their Erasmus+ VET Project, “Empowering Dreams”, engaged participants with fewer opportunities and created meaningful opportunities for them to live and work in Spain. By immersing Adult Education learners in a new cultural environment, the project strengthened their sense of European identity, broadened their horizons and fostered a greater sense of belonging within a diverse and interconnected community.

Participants were empowered to gain valuable transversal skills through work placements in schools, creches, nursing homes and social agencies, enhancing their employability and building their self-confidence.  This project demonstrated the power of inclusive education toempower individuals and create lasting personal, professional and social impact.
