European Partnerships for School Development Now Accepting Applications!

15 January 2026

Léargas is delighted to announce the European Partnerships for School Development, a new Erasmus+ opportunity under Key Action 2. This new initiative supports strategic innovation in education and aims to create structures that facilitate European Cooperation as a standard part of school education, all with the goal of improving the quality of learning and teaching across Europe.

A Partnership for School Development is made up of at least six schools and school authorities from the country of the applicant organisation and in at least one other country. Each European Partnership for Schools Development will receive €400,000 for a project over a three-year period.

This initiative has two key areas for cooperation:

  1. Improving the Quality of Teaching and Learning in Schools

Activities under this area include collaborative teaching, peer learning and mentoring for staff, resource management, and innovative teaching testing.

  1. Capacity Building for Cross-Border Mobility and Cooperation in School Education:

This area focuses on creating opportunities for cross-border and mobility activities, including testing ‘mobility windows’ in schools, capacity building through staff training and mainstreaming cross-border opportunities.

The deadline for applications is the 9th of April 2026. For full details on eligibility and the application process, please see the Erasmus+ programme guide
