Learning Out Loud

2-6 June 2026 | Lithuania

Youth workers are invited to explore the learning potential of youth work and strengthen its quality by practising tools that support young people in reflecting on, recognising and expressing what they learn.

As youth workers, we know that youth work is full of learning and contributes greatly to young people’s personal development. Yet we sometimes lack the competences or confidence to intentionally support young people in reflecting on their learning. At the same time, the ability to facilitate learning is not only beneficial for young people – it is also a key element of quality youth work.

So how can we help young people identify and express what they have learned in ways that can truly benefit them? How can this learning become visible to young people themselves and to others?

With this training course, we aim to develop youth workers’ competences to facilitate and recognise young people’s learning

Specific objectives are to:

  • Discuss and exchange practices on the potential of learning in youth work;
  • Explore what supporting learning means in the role of youth worker;
  • Practice tools that support the learning process of young people in youth work activities;
  • Give practical support to formulate and document the learning outcomes.

The course is based on the Youthpass concept as a process that supports reflective learning in youth projects.
