ECML workshop “Using ECML resources to support plurilingual and intercultural education for democratic culture”
14-15 April 2026 | Graz, Austria
The ECML is pleased to announce that it will hold the workshop “Using ECML resources to support plurilingual and intercultural education for democratic culture” within the framework of “Language education at the heart of democracy”.
This new ECML project aims to demonstrate how these resources can be adapted to different national contexts. In this way, the project will help member states work towards the realisation of effective and inclusive plurilingual and intercultural education.
The workshop takes place at the end of the project and will therefore focus on:
• presenting the draft set of ARPIDE tools to support the adaptation of ECML resources to different contexts in order to gather critical feedback from participants in advance of finalisation;
• developing examples of adapted ECML resources so as to show how the ARPIDE tools can be used effectively;
• fostering exchanges and developing professional networks.
Participants from Ireland will have their travel expenses paid by the ECML and will receive a lump sum allowance of €160 per activity day towards accommodation, subsistence expenses and local transport.
Please read the description, fill in the application form and return it to languages@leargas.ie by 16 February 2026.
