A National Roundtable Event on Wellbeing and Mental Health in Post-Primary Schools in Ireland

Description: 

Léargas, together with NEPS/Department of Education & Youth and Jigsaw, invites applications from Principals /Deputy Principals to attend this exciting national roundtable event to discuss wellbeing and mental health in post-primary schools. 

This highly interactive, participative event will provide school leaders with an opportunity to consider recent research from the ESRI on wellbeing in schools, identify current gaps and make recommendations for future action to support schools to address wellbeing and mental health more effectively. School leaders will also hear about capacity-building funding opportunities provided through the Erasmus+ programme. 

Objectives: 

  • To gather and share opinions from school leaders on wellbeing and mental health in the whole school community.
  • To highlight existing initiatives, identify gaps and make recommendations for future action to support wellbeing and mental health in schools
  • To explore opportunities for capacity building and good practice sharing by connecting with schools across Europe through the Erasmus+ programme.

Please note, places are limited to 100 participants. In the event of over-subscription, places may not be guaranteed – schools will be selected to ensure a diverse representation of DEIS/ non-DEIS, urban/ rural and 26 county geographical locations.
