Did you know that we can fund you to take part in training events that help you prepare, apply for and run European Solidarity Corps projects? Each year Léargas chooses a number of particularly relevant training events that people working in the Irish youth and volunteering sector can be funded to attend.
Relevant events will be listed here.
To apply to go to a training event, click on the link after the listing. Léargas will then get in touch with you to let you know if your application has been successful.
Target Audience: Youth workers, Youth project managers, Social workers
Aims: This training course will bring together professionals working with young people in NEET situations and those working in organisations that offer international youth work opportunities to young people (particularly through Erasmus+ Youth in Action and/or the European Solidarity Corps). The TC will give time and space to participants to share and gain knowledge and skills on how to work strategically with young people in NEET situations, how to use Erasmus+ Youth in Action and other international youth work possibilities as a tool in their work and to find a way into trustworthy partnerships on national and international level and good quality projects.
These events provide support and guidance to organisations that want to provide volunteering opportunities, traineeships and employment placements for young people involved in the European Solidarity Corps. We will be scheduling these to start in 2019. Check back here for listings.
These are training activities that support volunteers and trainees. They include on-arrival and midway training for in-place volunteers, trainees and employees. We will also organise training events for returned volunteers. Listings of these events will be published here when available.
