Did you know that we can fund you to take part in training events that help you prepare, apply for and run European Solidarity Corps projects? Each year Léargas chooses a number of particularly relevant training events that people working in the Irish youth and volunteering sector can be funded to attend.
Relevant events will be listed here.
To apply to go to a training event, click on the link after the listing. Léargas will then get in touch with you to let you know if your application has been successful.
Target: This contact-making seminar aims to bring together inclusion organisations, or organisations working with young people with fewer opportunities to build and work together through short-term volunteering projects. The seminar will support you in developing project ideas as well as provide practical tools to support your practice when working with young people.
The seminar will highlight the benefits and challenges faced by both hosting and sending organisations.
Target: accredited organisations working with the European Solidarity Corps for volunteering and/or jobs and traineeships.
The thematic focus will be on Solidarity and the Impact of our projects.
Target: those who work directly at a local level (as a professional or volunteer) with young people from diverse cultural backgrounds (e.g. community-based organisations, grass-root youth organisations working with minorities).
Aims: This seminar brings together 24 youth workers to share knowledge, expertise and experience in working directly with young people from diverse cultural backgrounds and supports them in using European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+ Youth in Action as a tool.
These events provide support and guidance to organisations that want to provide volunteering opportunities, traineeships and employment placements for young people involved in the European Solidarity Corps. We will be scheduling these to start in 2019. Check back here for listings.
These are training activities that support volunteers and trainees. They include on-arrival and midway training for in-place volunteers, trainees and employees. We will also organise training events for returned volunteers. Listings of these events will be published here when available.
