TCA How to

Check regularly for details of upcoming TCAs:

  • Youth TCAs: Register on the SALTO website and submit your application online
  • Adult Ed, School Ed and VET TCAs: To apply to attend a TCA, download the application form that’s provided with the event information on the Upcoming TCAs page and return it to the listed contact address within Léargas. Do not apply directly to the host organisation! Please note that only participants from Irish organisations may apply to Léargas.

  • Correspond with the TCA organiser to finalise accommodation details
  • Book your travel to and from the TCA
  • Inform yourself of current debate about the TCA topic, at both Irish and international level
  • Take every opportunity to network with fellow experts and National Agency staff during the TCA

Submit the TCA report to Léargas, giving as much details as possible about the results of the TCA

Present the results of the TCA to others in your organisation and in your wider professional network

Léargas is a not-for-profit organisation that operates under the aegis of the Department of Education and Skills and the Department of Children and Youth Affairs. Léargas manages European, national and international exchange and cooperation programmes in education, training and youth and community work and has been managing such programmes for over 30 years. Léargas currently has 40 staff based in our Dublin office. Our staff come from Ireland, Poland, France, Croatia, Denmark and Spain and have wide-ranging experience in education, training, community, youth and development work; and in IT and finance. The National Centre for Guidance in Education operates under the aegis of Léargas.

Ruth Baker is EU Project Officer with Ballymun Job Centre. The Centre uses Erasmus+ Vocational Education and Training funding to collaborate with European partners. Their projects focus on Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices.
