Have you taken part or do you plan to take part in Erasmus+? Then we want to hear from you!
In December 2017 the Minister for Education and Skills, Richard Bruton T.D. launched Languages Connect (pdf), the government’s new Strategy for Foreign Languages in Education. The strategy sets out a road map to put Ireland in the top ten countries in Europe for the teaching and learning of foreign languages. We want to better understand how taking part in Erasmus+ affects language learning in Ireland. This will also help us to improve the experiences of future participants.
We have a survey for anyone who was, or plans to be, involved in Erasmus+ between 2014 and 2020. The survey is part of a larger study that will investigate the learning experience and impact of foreign languages on participants in all sectors of Erasmus+. The study is conducted jointly by Léargas and the Higher Education Authority, which is the National Agency for Erasmus+ Higher Education in Ireland. Results will be available in summer 2019.
The survey is open until mid-January at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ErasmusPlusForeignLanguages. It takes just ten minutes to complete and you don’t have to give any personal details.
Please share the link with other Erasmus+ participants you know! If you have any queries, please contact Britta Jung, postdoctoral researcher at the Higher Education Authority and Léargas.
