EPALE Annual Conference: Self-care for educators

This year’s Annual EPALE Day Conference will look at the topic of self-care for educators. While the area of mental health – and students’ mental health – is gaining much needed attention, the subject of educators’ own mental health and wellbeing is often overlooked.

The conference will feature a discussion panel and workshops led by experts who will approach the topic from different perspectives, offering a combination of research, first-hand experience and practical tips/advice for both organisations and individual educators.

Speakers and workshops, on the day include:

  • Mental Health research and advocacy organisations, including Jigsaw
  • Organisations specialising in wellbeing and self-care for educators, such as Compassion Fatigue Ireland
  • Educational Practitioners with special expertise in mental health including Linn Dara.

Educators, researchers and policy makers from across all fields of education are welcome, including schools, adult education, community education, VET and higher education.

Registration and coffee at 09:30. Conference begins at 10:00.

This conference is hosted by EPALE Ireland, Léargas and AONTAS, and is co-funded by the European Union and SOLAS.
