Léargas Forum

Thu, Nov 1st, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 3:15 pm

Dublin Castle Conference Centre, Dublin 2

The annual Léargas Forum brings together all those involved and interested in our international programmes. We have a great day planned with a keynote address from Ruairí McKiernan, performances from Nigerian Carnival Ireland and Smashing Times Theatre Company as well as a lively panel discussion hosted by Una Mullally about the role of educational exchange and cooperation programmes in the future of Europe.

The Project Showcase will provide fine examples of the work being done through Erasmus+ and other Léargas programmes, and provide inspiration for those planning projects. At the Ask Léargas hub, our staff will help with questions about all our programmes and initiatives, including the 2019 Erasmus+ call for applications.

After lunch, we have four facilitated workshops to choose from:

  • Turning Spaces to Learning Places; the possibilities of real niche-learning in education: Explore examples of places and spaces that help learning to happen.
  • Tools you can use to see and share project impact: Take a closer look at practical tools that can help you track the impact of your project and share the results with others.
  • European Solidarity Corps Launch: This workshop will formally launch the European Solidarity Corps in Ireland while acknowledging and celebrating the great work that has been done in youth mobility and volunteering under previous programmes.
  • One Good Adult:  A one-hour workshop for adults who support, work or volunteer with young people.

Please register as soon as possible on Eventbrite. Registration closes on Tuesday 30 October or earlier if all places are filled.

Please do share the event with colleagues and on Facebook and Twitter, and if you have any questions let us know at
