Comenius Networks

Comenius Networks encourage the networking of educational establishments and organisations which are currently taking part in Comenius (Partnership or Multilateral) projects or which have finished such projects, on themes of common interest. They are designed to promote European cooperation and innovation in specific thematic areas of particular importance to school education in a European context.

The types of networks supported are:

  • platforms to assist the persons and institutions involved in Comenius in strengthening their co-operation
  • forums for joint reflection and cooperation in identifying and promoting innovation and best practice in the thematic area concerned.

Comenius Networks are a centralised action; this means that they are managed by the European Commission directly rather than a National Agency.
