European Language Label 2017

Are you involved in an innovative project that improves language teaching or learning?
Do you know an outstanding language teacher whose passion and enthusiasm inspire learners?
The European Language Label is a great way to recognise this work!

The European Language Label identifies, encourages and celebrates language teaching and learning in all sectors and contexts. The Label can be awarded to project or people who have improved the teaching and learning of any language, in formal or informal environments. Previous winning projects include a French and English bilingual pre-school, a Baby Sign Language app, Irish-language adventure tours, and blended learning course for German teachers. This is the first time that the individual category award will be for Language Teacher of the Year. Previous individual categories have included Language Learner of the Year and Language Ambassador of the Year, and recipients have varied from ten to seventy years of age! Winners are selected by the European Language Label jury and the awards are presented at an official ceremony in September each year.
Projects can apply for the European Language Label using this form. Candidates for Language Teacher of the Year must be nominated by their learners or colleagues using this form. The deadline for both categories is 28 February 2017.
