European Youth Week is a celebration of the massive contribution young people make to Europe. This year the slogan is ‘Shape it, move it, be it’ and the focus of the week is very much on Solidarity and the social commitment of young people. In Ireland there are lots of exciting events being organised both by Léargas and the Eurodesk Ireland Network! So check out what is happening in your area and celebrate European Youth Week from 1-7 May!
We’re seeking the views of students, staff and organisations that have taken part so we can understand the impact the progamme has had. Your views will contribute directly to the mid-term evaluation study for the European Commission. So grab a coffee and take five minutes to make your voice heard!
Over 130 people from all over Ireland came to our third annual forum, held in Dublin Castle Conference Centre on Tuesday 13 December. The theme this year was the ‘road less travelled’, inspired by the words of poet Robert Frost: “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I–, I took the one less travelled by, And that has made all the difference”. The Forum was a chance to explore the different roads that participants have taken because of our programmes, and the difference that has made to their work.
